Every EasyCab fare is calculated by the same simple meter — base fee plus distance plus time, with fixed prices for the airport runs. We've never charged a surge multiplier in 11 years and we have no plans to start. The number you see when you book is the number you pay at the door.
What every meter starts at. Covers the first half mile of your journey from the moment you sit down.
Standard saloon tier. Estate, MPV, Executive and 8-Seater scale by a fixed multiplier (see the table below).
Only kicks in below 8 mph or when stationary > 60 seconds. The clock pauses when you're moving freely.
Doorstep to next-street-over still gets you a clean car, a real driver, and a fare under a tenner.
Same meter, different multipliers for the larger and premium vehicles. The fare you're quoted at booking is locked — no upward adjustments mid-journey, ever. Edit a multiplier in config/pricing.php and every fare on the site updates.
A rough estimate based on the meter — the exact quote when you book may vary by a few pence depending on the route. This isn't a sales tool with fine print; it's just maths.
"The fare is the fare. We don't talk people into the upgrade."
Type pickup, type destination, see the fare. From a four-quid school run to a fifty-quid Heathrow trip, the number doesn't move between booking and arrival.
